Iceberg felt

The first prize in the Best Sofa 2014 category from the French community of architects and designers ArchiDesignClub, in partnership with Muuuz magazine, went to a felt iceberg by Jean-Marie Massot. Designed for the Swedish manufacturer Offecct, the sofa, despite its innovative design, is stable, comfortable and unique, making it very modern. Inspired by abstract forms with a vacuum inside, the author created a flexible design with many springs and synthetic filling covered with felt. The name of this conceptual object is a play on words (air - air, berg - from iceberg), the kit also includes asymmetric armchairs worthy of the "big brother". The Airberg upholstered furniture series was created for public interiors - lounge areas in hotels, clubs, restaurants and creative offices.
